Facial Cupping: Fad or Ancient Beauty Secret?

Facial Cupping  - Does it Work?

Think Michael Phelps Summer 2016 Olympics.

What is cupping? Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine in which cups are placed on the skin to create suction in order to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation and activate lymphatic drainage. Cupping therapy dates back to ancient Egypt, Asia and Middle East. Cupping brings fresh blood to the area, improves circulation and is widely used to treat pain, digestive problems, and  to release toxins.  Results are reported to be immediate, but not long lasting, so to maintain the result you need to have regular treatments.

Facial cupping has been buzzing in the media lately. It claims to help treat gray, dull skin that  is the result of a lack of circulation or stimulation and toxin stagnation under the skin. The cupping theoretically creates a blood flow that allows nutrients to the surface of the skin while detoxing at the same time. It is not painful and could just be the added pick me you needed in your professional facial regimen!
