KYBELLA® (deoxycholic acid) is an injectable product that is used to cause destruction of fat cells that form under the chin (submental fat) also called “double chin.” When Kybella is injected into a fat cell it destroys the cell's membrane and over time causes that cell to die, those fat cells are then carried out of the body by the lymphatic system. Kybella is a perfect noninvasive alternative to liposuction for submental fat. The procedure takes about 20 minutes, for best results Kybella is performed in a series of 2-4 treatments, each one month apart.
